Job title: Financial Operations Associate — Cash & Collateral
Employer: APG

Work pattern & location
Contract: Full-time (40 hours per week)
On-site requirement: Fully on-site during the onboarding period; thereafter presence at the Heerlen office two days per week
Freelancers (ZZP): This role is not suitable for freelancers
Travel: 25%–50% travel expected

Role overview
This is an operational role in cash and collateral management. You will perform daily operational activities to ensure smooth execution and monitoring of payments and coordination of collateral to mitigate risk in financial transactions. The role provides the opportunity to develop skills across cash and collateral workflows and to become multi-skilled over time.

Responsibilities

Perform account reconciliations
Provide cash forecasts
Process margin calls
Work to market cut-off times and stock exchange opening hours
Contribute to projects to improve processes, procedures and systems
Participate in cross-team initiatives to develop new skills and insights
If applicable, present a portfolio when engaging in activities such as trading stocks

Candidate profile

Education: Master’s degree preferred (economics or finance preferred; other academic backgrounds with affinity for the field are encouraged)
Experience: 2–5 years of relevant work experience, preferably within the financial sector or asset management
Knowledge: Understanding of asset management and financial markets
Skills: High attention to detail, strong communication skills, proactive approach, curious and eager to learn
Languages: Strong command of English and the ability to communicate clearly and convincingly

Eisen

  • During the onboarding period, the candidate is expected to work fully on-site
  • After this period, the candidate is expected to be present at the Heerlen office two days per week
  • This is a full-time position (40 hours per week)
  • The professional is required to present their portfolio if they engage in activities such as trading stocks
  • Master’s degree, preferably in economics or finance
  • Knowledge of and experience in asset management2–5 years of relevant work experience, preferably within the financial sector or asset management
  • Strong command of the English language and the ability to clearly and convincingly communicate your ideas

  • Master’s degree, preferably in economics or finance
